A work table looks simple, but it is one of the busiest pieces of equipment in a commercial kitchen. A well-built table lasts for decades; a poor one flexes, rusts and traps dirt.

Material and thickness
Look for AISI 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish. Check that the top is reinforced underneath so it does not sag under a heavy load, and that edges are rolled and welded smooth. Our guide to AISI 304 vs 430 explains the difference in detail.

Choose the right configuration
- Open or with undershelf for storing pots and containers: Work Table with Undershelf
- With a midshelf too for more storage: Undershelf and Midshelf
- Cabinet tables with sliding doors keep tools hidden and clean: Cabinet Work Table
- Mobile tables on castors for flexible layouts: Mobile Work Table
- Polyethylene top for cutting: Polyethylene-Top Work Table
Wet areas: sink units and dish tables
In the dishwashing zone, tables must handle water. A dish scraping table, dishwasher inlet table and outlet table create an efficient one-way flow from dirty to clean.

Adjustable feet and height
Kitchen floors are rarely perfectly level. Adjustable feet keep the table stable and make floor cleaning easier. Standard working height is usually around 85 to 90 cm, but can be adapted.
Shipping tables overseas
Tables are packed with edge protection and can be shipped assembled or knocked down to reduce freight volume. Tell us your container plan and we will propose the most efficient packing. See all work tables or request a quote.
