The thermostat is the brain of every heated machine. If it drifts, fryers burn oil, ovens bake unevenly and tea boilers overheat. Here is how the main types differ.

Capillary (gas-filled) thermostats
A capillary thermostat senses temperature at the end of a thin tube and switches the load. Our adjustable gas-filled thermostat covers 50 to 300 degrees Celsius, suited to fryers, toasters and ovens. TECASA models include:
- 50-300 °C and 75-400 °C
- Single-contact and double-contact versions for lower temperatures
- Porcelain thermostat for high-heat enclosures
Three-phase and fryer thermostats
Large fryers use three-phase versions such as the double-tail fryer thermostat or the 200-300 °C three-phase thermostat.

Safety and limit thermostats
A safety thermostat (100-230 °C) or a limit thermostat (50-165 °C, with reset models) cuts power if the temperature runs away. Fit one wherever overheating is a risk.
Indicators and thermometers
- 120 °C copper-capillary indicator for tea boilers, bain-maries and hot water tanks
- 320 °C oven and grill thermometer
How to match your thermostat
- Temperature range and electrical rating
- Capillary or probe length
- Mounting style and shaft
- Single-phase or three-phase
